The water in the installation contains air that can cause chemical wear and reduce heat and cold transfer.
A Flexvent must be installed where the air accumulates.
In the case of float control, the accumulated air in the Flexvent causes the float to fall and the vent valve open. After the air is removed, the float rises and closes the valve.

The Flexvent Float vent valves are made of brass. Most types are equipped with a check valve for easy installation and removal.

Due to the small size of the Flexvent float air relief valves, it is easy to install in all installations.
The large air chamber on the top of each Flexvent float vent valve sufficiently protects the valve seat against contamination to prevent the Flexvent from leaking.
